Literary globalization and Arab and Islamic specificity

Abstract

This article aims to clarify the nature of literary globalization as part of the general globalization. The study employs the descriptive approach. It is divided into and introduction and two sections. Section 1 discusses the nature of globalization, its manifestations, the Arab-Islamic cultural specificity, the stream of influence, selection, and benefits that resulted in the division of Arab intellectuals into three streams. Section 2 discusses the living culture that rejects globalization. The study concludes that literary globalization is part of the general globalization, which necessitates the standardization of the world and the fusion of cultural, economic, political, and military particularities into one pattern and one dominant culture.
