Abstract

#The research aims to study the relationship between education and sustainable human development, as well as the obstacles to achieving it in Yemen. It is undoubtedly clear that education is the key to human development and the foundation for future development and civilization, as evidenced by the development experiences in almost all countries around the world. Diagnosing educational obstacles in Yemen can serve as a guide for addressing them, lifting the education system from its constraints, and promoting education beyond its current state. This will allow it to take a leading role in leading societal change. Contemporary educational experiences confirm that the rate of educational development must be higher than or at least equal to the rate of change in the societal environment. This is conditional on education development preceding the transformations occurring in society or those expected to happen as a result of international and regional external influences. This ensures the creation of a suitable educational groundwork for desired changes and adaptation to the overall societal system, while excluding undesired changes.
