Abstract

#This research examines the use of metaphors in the Quran. Metaphor is a linguistic device used to refer to something indirectly without explicitly stating it. The aim of the research is to understand the role of metaphors in the Quran, analyze their uses and patterns. The research includes a review of metaphors and analysis of specific examples from verses that contain metaphors. The context, purpose, and associated impact of each metaphor are analyzed to comprehend the symbolism and meaning it carries. The research concludes that metaphors in the Quran are extensively employed to achieve multiple objectives. Metaphors may be used to express beauty and evoke imagery, direct attention to specific concepts, and enhance the rhetorical and spiritual impact of the Quranic text, among others. In conclusion, studying metaphors in the Quran is a significant contribution to understanding the language and style of the Quran, and it encourages further studies to explore the uses of metaphors in the Quran and their impact on our understanding of the Quranic text.
