Abstract

#This research aims to study The Role of Arabic Language and National Education Content in Yemen in Developing Values and Citizenship in Light of Globalization Challenges. Countries around the world give great importance to educational curricula and the development of their content to keep pace with the technological advancements and realities of the era. This includes focusing on skills, knowledge, values, issues of citizenship, openness to other cultures, and benefiting from their sciences and experiences. If the world today is considered a small village thanks to satellites, television, the internet, and computers, it requires the cooperation of countries and individuals to promote values of tolerance, peace, coexistence, dialogue, and communication based on mutual benefit. This involves utilizing modern technologies to serve humanity and to avoid wars and domination, while each party retains its cultural and national identity. It is also important to recognize that knowledge and culture are the rights of all humanity. The content of Arabic language and national education curricula for basic education in Yemen should contribute to the development of values such as tolerance, freedom, equality, responsibility, love of work and order, loyalty and belonging to the country, awareness of the risks facing the Arab nation, understanding the challenges of globalization, and appreciating the status of women, scholars, and intellectuals, as well as preserving the environment, cleanliness, and protection. The challenges of globalization include the potential decline of the Arabic language, weakening of national identity, and the growth of a culture of violence and terrorism. The role of educational curricula, including the content of Arabic language and national education textbooks, lies in emphasizing the importance of academic excellence, acceptance of diversity, and venturing towards global engagement.
