Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali and His Efforts in the Sciences of Hadith

Abstract

The research aimed to introduce Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali and his efforts in the sciences of Hadith. The historical approach was followed in dealing with the biography of Ibn Rajab and the analytical approach in dealing with his efforts in the sciences of Hadith. The research was divided into an introduction and three sections; the first: Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali, the second: his scientific efforts, the third: his efforts in the sciences of Hadith.   The most important results are that: Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali’s efforts were distinguished in the sciences of Hadith in general and in the science of causes, both in theory and application, in particular, In addition to his scientific potential in making inferences from Hadiths and directing them to preaching or deducing jurisprudential rulings.
