Abstract

The research aims to study the significance of advance and delay according to Yahya bin Hamza Al-Alawi in his book Al-Teraz. The critical analytical approach is adopted in this research. It consists of six sections; first is the methodological framework, second is the theoretical background. The third section is on educational philosophy in Yemen and the fourth is the analysis of educational philosophy at the level of perception. Section five is on the Procedures for implementing educational philosophy whereas the sixth section discusses the relationship of educational philosophy to educational reform efforts. The most important results: are that educational principles and goals suffer from many weaknesses at the level of perception, while they are absent in real practices. Therefore, the research recommends reconsidering educational philosophy at the level of perception and practice.
