Evaluating the Situation of the Purchasing Function at Aden University: from the Points of View of Specialists in the Profession and Members of the University Council

Abstract

The research aimed to determine the level of performance efficiency of the purchasing function at Aden University in order to improve it. The descriptive-analytical approach was followed and the questionnaire was the tool for collecting data from the sample; 49 persons who are the purchasing officials at the university. The research is divided into; a methodological framework, research procedures and results. The main results showed that, purchasing at Aden University is often not carried out in the appropriate manner in terms of quality, quantity, prices, and time. Hence, the purchasing function is not performed at the desired level.
