Differences in Linguistic Intelligence Level among Third-Grade Basic Education Students in Public and Private Schools in Ibb City – Republic of Yemen

The current research aimed to identify the statistically significant differences in the level of linguistic intelligence among third-grade basic education students in schools of Ibb city according to the type of education (public vs. private). The study adopted a descriptive survey approach. The stratified random research sample consisted of (70) male and female third-grade basic education students, with (35) students from public schools and (35) students from private schools. After analyzing the results using a one-sample t-test and an independent two-sample t-test, several key findings were reached, the most important of which are:
- The level of linguistic intelligence among third-grade students in public schools was high overall and in the areas of speaking and listening, while their level in the areas of reading and writing was average.
- - Conversely, the level of linguistic intelligence among students in private schools was high overall and in all areas, except for the writing area, which was average.
- Furthermore, the results indicated the existence of statistically significant differences among students according to the type of education (public vs. private), in favor of private school students in the overall level of linguistic intelligence and in the listening area.
However, no statistically significant differences appeared in any of the following areas: speaking, reading, and writing.
