Abstract

The study aims to identify the current situation from economic and social perspectives in all villages of Wadi Zabid that benefit from seasonal irrigation for agricultural purposes. The study comes in an introduction and several sections focusing on family composition, educational status, land ownership, and the main sources of income for farmers, including remittances sent by family members working outside the region. The results showed that the social survey provided a deep understanding of the current situation experienced by farmers, both in terms of quantitative and qualitative aspects.
