The research consists of an introduction on Abu Zaid al-Ansari, followed by two sections; the first: Arabic proverbs, the second: Abu Zaid and the proverbial evidence through (Book of Anecdotes), and a conclusion. The main results are that: Abu Zaid Al-Ansari rarely uses proverbial evidence, in his Book of Anecdotes, in presenting what he narrates from his predecessors.
