Abstract

The optimal etching conditions for solid-state nuclear track detector (SSNTD) type CN-85 have been studied by using KOH solution in different temperature and normality. These are done after irradiating the piece of detector with alpha particles, which are emitted from isotopic 241Am source. The experimental approach is followed and It is found that the optimal etching efficiency was 75.5% at 4N and temperature of 60°C.
