Abstract

This article aims to explore the major developments and events in the American-Yemeni relations, and the influence of the Soviet role. The study employs the descriptive and historical approach. It is divided into an introduction and two sections. Section 1 deals with highlighting the American-Yemeni Relations between 1919 and 1947. Section 2 addresses the American-Yemeni relations between 1948 and 1952. It concludes that the American-Yemeni relations began through a commercial activity in Yemeni Moka port late 18th C. and early 19th C, which increases the progress in these relations in the 19th C. It also urged Britain to move towards Aden specifically as this activity coincides with the British apprehension that Aden might be controlled by Mohammed Ali Basha as his forces have already reached Tihama area.
