Archaeological buildings and standards of their reuse suiting the civilized value of place and economic value of time: a case study of Old Ibb City

Abstract

This study aims to set standards of reusing archaeological buildings in Ibb old city in both civilized character or need of society. The study employs the descriptive approach. It is divided into an introduction and five sections. Section 1 provides a historical overview of old Ibb city. Section 2 presents the most important archaeological buildings old Ibb city. Section 3 addresses the concept of revival. Section 4 presents the most important Arab and Islamic cities. Section 5 tackles modern revival tools suiting the character of Ibb old city. It concludes that the process of reusing buildings in old Ibb city is based on the permanent maintenance and care and that ignoring reusing these buildings constitutes a real danger for both old Ibb city and the general character.
