Abstract

This article aims to evaluate the final-exams in the Humanities specializations in the 1st  Semester of the academic year 2004-2005, at Sana’a University. It also aims to determine the extent to which they meet the scientific standards of good exams. The study sample consists of 86 exam sheets. The total number of questions analyzed is 814. The study employs the descriptive analytical approach. It is divided into an introduction and 4 sections. Section 1 presents the justifications statement of the problem. Section 2 discusses the significance of the study and terminology. Section 3 reviews related previous studies. Section 4 presents the methodology and results of the study. The study concludes with a number of findings including: some exam sheets neglect many important technical aspects, while most others include essay questions and neglect objective questions.
