Proposed strategy for developing education in Yemen

This article aims to propose a comprehensive and integrated vision for the development of education in Yemen. The study employs the descriptive analytical approach. It is divided into an introduction and three sections. Section 1 examines justifications for formulating a strategy to develop education in Yemen. Section 2 presents the current situation of education in Yemen, and the expected future situation of this development as suggested in the strategic objectives for educational development. Section 3 lays out the common subsidiary objectives for each educational system, formal and non-formal general education, the vocational and technical education, and that of higher education in Yemen. It concludes that the proposal advanced in this study provides some axes for developing the education system in yemen in the form of a group of strategic objectives that should be implemented through a set of specific subsidiary objectives for all education systems each.
