Intertextuality with Heritage Personality in Baradouni's Poetry

Abstract

Important Objectives: Using intertextuality techniques, this paper aimed to address ''intertextuality'' with a heritage personality in Baradouni's poetry and its techniques to show an important aspect of the Arabic modern poetic vision used by Baradouni. However, this paper was ranged into an introduction and four areas devoted for the techniques of using the heritage personality in Baradouni's poetry, as follows. The first area was entitled ''Technique of Talking to Personality'', the second area was entitled '' Technique of Talking with Personality'', the third area was entitled '' Technique of Talking about Personality'', and the fourth area was entitled '' Personality is a Symbol through Sign Technique''. The paper introduced a number of conclusions; most importantly: Baradouni was aware of the transformations of the Arabic modern poetic movement, forming part of its movement and formation. This was manifested by fact that Baradouni's text was based on absorbing and changing a number of previous texts into intertextual argumentative ones, using different techniques. Thus, he was capable of using the heritage personality as being aware of its presence and role in embodying the topicalization and increasing the interpretation potential/power of the poetic text.
