Imam Al-Nawrasi and the Unity of the Islamic Nation: A Historical Perspective

Important Objectives: This study aimed to explore Imam Badee'a Azzaman Al-Nawrasi's thought, his vision in constructing the Islamic thought, his look at the nation unity and its interests achievement, and how the message of Islam can be delivered to others. For this end, the study was ranged into an introduction, two areas, and a conclusion. The Introduction introduced Al-Nawrasi and his intellectual approach. The first area discussed historical events and their implications on the nation unity while the second one showed Imam Al-Nawrasi's role in uniting the nation. However, the Conclusion introduced a number of conclusions; the most important conclusions were as follows. Imam Al-Nawrasi had a realistic approach in calling for saving authenticity and coping with developments deemed to be in the best interests of the nation. He stressing the importance of the nation's reservation for its personality, emanated from its constants, in response to changes since they do not oppose its intellectual and doctrine constants. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of dialogues in uniting the nation with adherence to rules and ethics that may take us, as individuals and communities, away from fighting and disharmony.
