The research aimed to conduct a comprehensive chemical analytical study to evaluate the suitability of drinking water in the city of Ibb - Yemen, in comparison with the standard specifications issued by several local and international bodies. The experimental-comparative approach was adopted, by conducting an inorganic chemical analysis using the stress anode extraction method and traditional methods for the water of the General Corporation for Water and Sanitation before and after pumping, and for water from other wells and water commonly consumed in the city. The research was divided into an introduction and two sections; first: Materials and Methods for Conducting the Research, second: Results and Discussion. The most important results are that: The corporation’s water, before and after pumping, is safe to drink according to local and international standards, with the exception of “Thahub” water, and that storage and transportation operations may cause limited pollution that does not affect the suitability of this water. Some commercial water has international specifications that compete with its counterparts in neighboring countries.
