The Phenomenon of Cheating in Exams

The research aimed to identify the phenomenon of cheating in exams, and the reasons for its spread among university students, in addition to proposing a university educational guidance program to treat this phenomenon. The descriptive-analytical approach was adopted and the questionnaire was used to collect information from a sample of 128 students in the Faculty of Education, Dhamar University, among the students who were caught cheating in the various academic departments in the faculty. The research came in; Introduction which was followed by three sections; first: The Theoretical Framework and Previous Studies, second: Study Procedures, third: Building a University Educational Guidance Program and Recommendations. The most important results are: The phenomenon of cheating is acquired through students going through problems and difficulties during the stages of their lives without finding anyone to stand by them with guidance, which calls for the necessity of implementing the proposed educational guidance program to reduce this phenomenon.
