Joint Broadcasting in Local Yemeni Radios and Its Role in Preserving National Cultural Identity

Abstract

#This study aims to highlight the role played by joint broadcasting in local Yemeni radios in preserving national cultural identity. The study is organized into an Introduction, three sections and a conclusion. Section one provided a brief overview of Yemeni radios broadcasting, Section two dealt with basic functions of communication, Section three discussed the relationship between identity and communication. The study findings revealed that the media message in Yemen was still lagging behind internationally recognized media standards due to the limited access of communicators to those radios and the lack of media competencies that align with the culture of global media.
