A proposed Model for Improving the Contents of the Teacher Preparation Program

The research aimed to present a model to determine the number of hours and percentages of the components of the secondary school teacher preparation program in the newly-established Yemeni colleges of education.
The deductive-analytical approach was adopted. The research was organized in an introduction, followed by two sections; the first: The theoretical framework of the study, the second: Procedures and results.
The most important results are: The number of hours and percentages for the components of the proposed program are distributed over five years, with a total of 160 hours, of which academic preparation represents 80 hours, representing 5%, vocational preparation comes in second place, 48 hours, representing 30%, and cultural preparation, 32 hours, representing 20%, preparation for a secondary school teacher in the newly-established Yemeni colleges of education.
