J. I. T. System: Its Philosophy, Elements and Application Mechanism Requirements

Abstract

The research aimed to introduce the Just-in-Time (J.I.T.) production system in terms of its philosophy, elements, objectives, application mechanism and advantages over traditional production systems. The inductive-descriptive approach was adopted and the research was organized as an introduction which is followed by the following topics: The concept of (J. I.T.), the J.I.T. system, energy use, the J.I.T. system and cost accounting, the objectives of the J.I.T. system, its philosophy, some of its tools and elements, and then a conclusion.

 The most important results are: The J.I.T. system provides a new perspective for production that helps improve the competition of enterprises in global markets. The application of the J.I.T. system is not limited to industrial companies only; But the benefits of its application can be seen in other sectors, such as services.
