Parenting Styles and their Relationship with Psychological and Social Adjustment among Adolescents

Abstract

#This research aims to examine the relationship between parenting styles by fathers and then mothers and the psychological and social adjustment of adolescents. The research utilized inductive, statistical, and descriptive methods. It consists of a general introduction to the research and four sections: the first section presents the theoretical framework of parenting, the second section reviews previous studies, the third section describes the research procedures, and the fourth section presents and discusses the results. The research concludes with recommendations and proposals. One of the key findings is the existence of a negative correlation between positive parenting styles by fathers and psychological adjustment at a significance level of less than 0.01, and social adjustment at a significance level of less than 0.05.
