Abstract

#The objective of the research is to uncover the importance of isnad (chain of transmission) in the preservation and regulation of Quranic recitations, as well as its scientific value and correcting misconceptions surrounding the topic of recitations. The research adopted an inductive and analytical approach. It begins with a theoretical introduction about the origin and significance of isnad, introducing Quranic recitations and the ruling on learning them in two sections: the first section discusses the role of isnad in the preservation of Quranic recitations, while the second section focuses on its role in the regulation of Quranic recitations.  Key findings indicate that recitation is a practiced Sunnah (tradition) and following it is obligatory, regardless of whether it conforms to the standards of grammarians or not. Isnad plays a significant role in the preservation and accurate transmission of Quranic recitations, which have reached us consistently and with clear precision. Multiple recitations have an important role in enriching the Arabic language and preserving various dialects.
