The City of Ibb and the Child from an Architectural Perspective.

Abstract

The research aimed to find out the extent to which the residential neighborhood environment in the city of Ibb takes into account the requirements for balanced development of the child. The inductive approach was adopted. The research was presented in two sections; The first: A theoretical introduction to the city and the child, the second: The residential environment of the city of Ibb and the extent to which it meets the requirements of children. It ends with the results and recommendations.

  The most important results are: The absence of many urban elements in the child-friendly residential environment in Ibb city which is a real danger not only to the child but also to the future of society. There is still a good opportunity to reconsider planning in existing and new neighborhoods.
