Abstract

The research aimed to measure the effect of a group of variables on the practice of female circumcision in Yemen in light of a logistic regression model. The statistical analysis approach was adopted based on data from the 1997 survey. The research came in an introduction which is followed by two sections; the first: theoretical background, the second: statistical treatment and then the results and recommendations.

The most important results are: arriving at a model containing 6 independent variables that achieved an overall correct classification rate of approximately 83% in measuring the impact of the practice of female circumcision in Yemen.
