Abstract

The research aimed to investigate the strengths and weaknesses of the two courses of Audio-Visual Aids in the Faculty of Education - Al-Nadirah. The content analysis approach was adopted using a questionnaire to collect data from a sample of 42 students in the English Department at the Faculty of Education – Al-Nadirah. The research was presented in three sections; the first: Methodological Framework, the second: Study Procedures, the third: Results and Recommendations.

  The most important results are: The general goals of the Audio-Visual Aids curriculum in the Faculty of Education - Al-Nadirah, as recorded in the faculty guide, are general goals and limited to the cognitive aspect only, in addition to the fact that the contents are not comprehensive, and there is a need to benefit from computer technology and audio cassettes in learning the English language.
