Abstract

#This research aims to develop a simple, sensitive, accurate, and rapid optical spectroscopic method for the determination of cefotaxime and ceftriaxone. The research followed an experimental methodology and was divided into an introduction, two sections, and a conclusion. The introduction discussed the importance of the study and its theoretical framework. The first section focused on conducting laboratory experiments where the coupled oxidation reaction of cefotaxime and ceftriaxone with aminophenol A- was performed in the presence of potassium ferricyanide to form a red-colored product with maximum absorption at a wavelength of 510 nanometers for cefotaxime and 514 nanometers for ceftriaxone. The second section presented and discussed the results. The conclusion summarized the key findings, including the possibility of successfully applying the spectroscopic estimation method for the analysis of pharmaceutical formulations.
