Causes of Failure and Low Achievement in Public Schools in some Yemeni Cities from Employees' and Twelfth Class Students' the Point of View

This study aimed to know the effect of using the size of dropout in public schools, and survey the opinions of a number of administrative stuff, teachers and 12th class students on the causes of failure and low students' achievement quantitively and qualitatively in Sana'a, Taiz, and Al-Dhale'a cities. To analyse the data, means and frequencies were used. The analysis showed that there was failure in a class; the percentage of failure in classes (1 – 6) was higher than the classes (7 – 12) classes; there were eight social and educational factors that caused failure and low achievement, namely family, its members, and problems, the need for children's work, irregularity of school year, teachers, summer practices, book contents, crowded classrooms, and difficulty of general exams.
