Industry Wastes of Building Materials: Use and Recycling

Abstract

This study aimed to know the different types of industry wastes of building materials and their sources in Ibb City and Amran Cement Factory, and their negative consequences on environment and human, and ways of recycling them. Both analysis and field visits to the sources of those wastes were used in this study to collect data and show the way(s) to be recycled. The study found that the way to end the industry wastes of building and construction materials when they were casted into flood channels affected agricultural soil which in turn affected environment negatively and population's health and life in city; and flying dust of towers of Amran Cement Factory affected people's respiratory systems especially when making cement through the dry method. For reducing this phenomenon, there should be a plan for establishing cement factories away from urbanization expansion places, using new techniques in making cement, recycling cement dust and building materials wastes, controlling factories and workshop for taking those wastes away from population crowds.
