Abstract

The study aims to examine instances of the prophets' supplication to God in Surah Al-Anbiya and highlight the reference found in those prayers, as well as their relevance and applicability in our present time. The study consists of an introduction, five sections, and a conclusion. The first section discussed the supplication of the Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham);  while the second section focused on the supplication of the Prophet Ayyub (Job). The third section examined the supplication of the Prophet Yunus (Jonah); and the fourth section explored the supplication of the Prophet Zakariya (Zechariah). The fifth section dealt with some of the traits of the prophets. The study findings showed that one of the blessings bestowed by Allah upon this Ummah (Muslim nation) is making it the inheritor of the experiences of the previous prophets in matters of faith, worship, supplication, calling to Allah, patience, and more. This made the Ummah strong, youthful, resilient against its enemies, patient in adversity, renewing its hopes, and having great aspirations.
