Abstract

The study aims to explore the circumstances and factors that imposed a life of slavery on Antarah ibn Shaddad al-Absi and delve into the depths of his humane behavior in order to understand the creative imprints he left in the field of literature. The study consists of an introduction, two main sections, and a conclusion. The first section discussed Antarah's biography and upbringing, while the second section focused on the values and principles that Antarah adhered to. The study findings showed that Antarah ibn Shaddad adhered to a set of ethical values and principles by virtue of which he was able to achieve what he had missed out on in terms of social status and lineage. It was also revealed that Antarah managed to reclaim his freedom and challenge all the customs and obstacles imposed by his society to restrict his liberty.
