Abstract

The study aims to investigate success features in documentary narrative, with particular reference to the novel Sultanat Al-Raml and its ability to incorporate realistic images into the fictional narrative world. The study consists of an introduction, two main sections, and a conclusion. The first section discussed the characteristics of documentary narrative.  The second section dealt with the themes of the narrative. The study findings showed that the recognition that the artistic structure of the novel entailed suggestive energy, enabling it to recreate the world of the Bedouins with a fresh perspective. It was also concluded that the novel’s structure proved fruitful to build the novel’s narrative world through the interpretation of various documents and quotations in collusion with the world of the Bedouins.
