Glass Skins Phenomenon in Buildings and Their Suitability for Environmental Conditions in Yemen

#This study aims to investigate the characteristics of glass architecture and assess its suitability for the local context, along with providing a comprehensive understanding of glass skins. The study comprises the following sections: introduction, a historical overview of glass and its use in construction, types of glass used in buildings, environmental capabilities of glass skins, environmental utilization of glass skins, analysis and observation of the phenomenon of glass skins in Yemen, and conclusion. The findings showed that glass skins offered significant and diverse opportunities for architectural creativity and provide unlimited visual connection between the interior and exterior of the building.
