Abstract

#The study aimed to approach the phenomenon of cheating in tests as the most problematic of the education system in Yemeni society, because of its negative effects on the life of the individual and society. Cheating starts in school tests, and ends in all aspects of community life. The study assumed that cheating is an indicator of the spread of many disorders in the system of values, especially in light of the spread of corruption in every system of society, including the system of education. As an indicator of the spread of social (Anomie), which means Normlessness, that determined by sociology scientists. The qualitative methodology was used to be focused on content analysis of official reports that monitor the progress of testing process, and these reports were the unit of analysis in this study. The study found that the phenomenon of cheating is widespread and growing in the classes of high school students, and with overlook and negligence by official agencies, furthermore, this phenomenon gets the public encourage and support from the community and many groups and social strata. To the extent that cheating seemed like a normal reaction and behavior, and is not considered to be a criminal and oblique. This leads to the falsification of reality and achieve gains without any effort and illegally. The study suggested further studies and research aimed at eliminating the reasons that move individuals to cheat in the social milieu surrounding the student's behavior, so considering all reason alone to get to the effective treatment of besieging the phenomenon. Because of the failure of encountering cheating phenomenon and negligence in the fight against this phenomenon in a long-term, it is foreshadowing the collapse of civilization in Yemeni society.
