The Challenges Facing Graduate Students at The College of Education, Dhamar University and Ways to Address Them

#This research aimed at identifying the problems postgraduate students encounter at the faculty of education, Thamar University based on the students' viewpoints. The sample size of this study is 51 male and female students from a population of 75 students in the academic year 2013/2014 and from the educational administration, curriculum and teaching methods, and educational psychology disciplines. The researcher has adopted the analytical descriptive approach using a questionnaire that is consisted of 62 items distributed in five sections. After using the suitable statistical methods, it was found that there are significant administrative and social problems in addition to some average educational and economical problems and less effective psychological problems. The study reached the result that there are no significant statistical differences in students' problems related to gender, age, specialization, and marital status. Towards the end of the research, the researcher reached a number of remedies for those problems and presented a number of recommendations that would help overcome the problems students face. Moreover, a number of suggestions for the development of programs at the faculty of education in particular and Thamar university at large were suggested.
