Abstract

The research deals with the administrative system in the Levant Region during the period of Muhammad Ali Pasha (1831-1840); the administrative divisions and the ruling system through the period covered in this research have been explained. The research has covered the judicial authority and the changes took places in its form and substance, and shed the light on the consultative councils that have been formed.
