Efficiency of Humanitarian Housing and Its Architectural and Urban Formation Suitable for the Sustainable Residential Environment in Yemen

The research aimed to find out the extent of the efficiency of humanitarian housing and its architectural and urban formation appropriate to the sustainable residential environment in Yemen. The descriptive-analytical approach was followed and the research was divided into; a systematic introduction, followed by the following topics: factors affecting the residential environment in Yemen, analysis of the efficiency of old and modern housing, analysis of the urban formation of the sustainable environment, suggestions for solutions to the situation of housing and the development of strategic plans. The results showed that: the optimal use of available resources in the Yemeni environment in light of modern, balanced methods represents an urgent necessity for achieving a homogeneous urban system in order to preserve the environment and ensure the continuous harmony of development of man and place.
