Abstract

The study aimed to identify the degree of including the general requirements in Ibb university courses for the 21st century skills. The study followed the descriptive and analytical approach. The researchers prepared an analysis form included in its final form (56) indicators distributed on (3) areas: (learning and innovation skills, information and media technology media and digital culture skills, life skills and profession). The study sample is represented in the courses of the general requirements at the Faculty of Education, Ibb University for the academic year (2021-2022), and the number of courses is (6). To analyze data analysis, frequencies and percentages are used. The results of  the study showed that the degree of including the 21st century skills in all the courses of the general requirements at Ibb university is low, and at the level of main skills, learning and innovation skills got the first rank with middle percentage of (59,02%); life skills and career got the second rank with low percentage reached to (24.06% ); and the skills of information technology and means of digital media and culture got the last rank with low percentage reached to (16.02%).
