The Degree of Application of Administrative Transparency in Office of Education, in Ibb City

The main aim of this study was to investigate the extent of applying administrative transparency at Ibb Education Office. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used a descriptive survey approach by means of a questionnaire consisting of 46 items distributed over five areas: regulations and legislations, information systems, integrity, decision making and performance evaluation. After validating the instrument, it was distributed to 147 participants as the sample of the study. Four of them were section managers, 32 of the administration mangers, 67 were head of departments and 71 of them were specialists. The findings of the study showed that there was a huge weakness in applying the administrative transparency at Ibb Education Office. The study recommended the education office to adopt a procedural plan to enhance the policy of transparency and clarity in administrative performance by means of creating objective systems for creatinine inquiry and accountability and enabling beneficiaries' participation in decision making and providing necessary facilities, financial and human resources, and applying objective standards in choosing the most competent and, honest individuals and leaders.
