Abstract

The research aimed to highlight the factors that contributed to the morphological composition of the traditional tower-house in Shibam, Hadhramaut. The descriptive approach was followed and the research is divided into two sections; the first: the factors contributing to the composition of the tower-house in Hadhramaut, the second: the adaptation of the tower-house to climatic conditions, and then the results. The results showed that: there is a group of natural and cultural factors that contributed to the morphological composition of the traditional tower-house in Shibam, Hadhramaut, as it is the product of understanding nature and integration with the environment, as well as the traditional social environment that combines building traditions and collective organizing.
