The research aimed to identify the genetic differences between the Phoenician juniper and the prickly juniper by applying the protein electrophoresis technique. The analytical approach was followed. The research was divided into three sections; the first: a theoretical introduction, the second: materials and research work (Sample collection, protein spectrum measurement using a UV absorption spectrophotometer, acrylamide gel electrophoresis), Third presented the main results of the research and discussion. The main results are: There were differences in the number of bunches between the Phoenician juniper and the prickly juniper and between male and female trees. No differences were observed between them in terms of protein source.
