Abstract

This article aims to clarify Ibbi Scholars’ contributions to the Yemeni intellectual life in the 6th C. AH. it also aims to explore all the intellectual activities in that period, knowing the different disciplines of knowledge and shedding light on the most prominent studies and their centers. The study employs the inductive, descriptive analytical approach. It is divided into an introduction and ..two sections. Section 1 tackles the political situation in Yemen in this period. Section 2 presents the intellectual figures and their contributions to the Yemeni intellectual movement including Yahya bin Abi Alkhair Al’amrani,  Saif Alsunnah Alburaihi, Abu Altayeb Taher bin Yehya bin Abi Alkhair bin Salem Al’amrani and Imam Zaid bin Alhassan bin Mohammed bin Maymoun Alfay’ishi. It concludes that Ibbi scholars’ contributions to the 6th C. AH in thought, specifically Sharia and other sciences such as linguistics, history and speech science.
