This study aims to highlight the rhetorical I’jaz in the Holy Qur'an stories, illustrating their purpose, style, distinction, and characteristics. The study employs the descriptive and analytical approach. It is divided into a general introduction and four sections. Section 1 tackles the concept of story in general. Section 2 presents the elements of story in the Holy Qur'an such as its purpose, character, dialogue, time, place and style. Section 3 illustrates I’jaz in the Holy Qur'an in terms of multiplicity of purpose, surprise and esthetical representation. Section 4 discusses the effectiveness of repetition in the Holy Qur'an. It concludes that the concept of story in the Holy Qur'an is not more different from that in Arabic literature, being artistic art that tends to instil a number of values, principles and attitudes. The main purpose of the the Holy Qur'an storying is impacting, contemplating, persuading and entertaining.
