This article aims to clarify the concept of "Waqf" in the Holy Qur'an and its impact on changing the meaning. The study employs the descriptive analytical approach. It is divided into an introduction and two sections. Section 1 defines Waqf, emphasizing its importance, and its types. Section 2 explores the relationship between Waqf and other sciences including relationship between Waqf and syntax, interpretation, Readings and jurisprudence. The study concludes that Waqf in the Holy Qur’an is an essential means of interpretation, which cannot be ignored by any interpreter. Many ambiguous meanings in the Holy Qur'an can be correctly understood only through understanding the type of Waqf and where to place it.
