The research aimed to provide a detailed picture of the environmental features and their impact on the formation of vegetation in Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar [ the Green Mountain] region in order to form an information base on its environmental conditions. The historical inductive approach was adopted and the research was organized as an Introduction, followed by two sections; the first: Materials and Methods, the second: Results and Discussion, and an appendix of the classification. The most important results are: The presence of important diversity in Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar [the Green Mountain] region of Libya. Ninety-two plant families were identified, including 384 genera, and the number of widespread species is about 723 species, of which 32% are trees and the rest are herbs and jungles. This diversity is the result of environmental and topographical factors, climatic formations and geological situation.
