Information Revolution and Its Technical and Technological Dimensions

The research aimed to provide an objective vision of the information revolution so that people would learn about its nature and technical dimensions (the Internet), be aware of its dangers, and participate in its process consciously. The inductive-analytical approach was adopted and the research was divided into an introduction, followed by four sections; the first: Information Systems, the second: Its Technological Dimensions (the Internet) and Its Requirements, the third: The Effects of the Information Revolution on Aspects of Life and Countries, the fourth: Yemen and the Concept of Information Theory. The most important results re: The information revolution achieved a qualitative leap in communication technologies between individuals and societies, which had impacts on aspects of life on Earth. It has become a feature of the times, requiring attention to its negative dangers and taking advantage of its positive data.
