#The aim of this research is to study the anti-diabetic and anti-hyperlipidemic effects of Azadirachta indica (neem) in water-induced diabetic hyperlipidemia. The research includes an introduction, two chapters, and a conclusion, and follows an experimental approach. The first chapter discusses the experimental procedures conducted on alloxan-induced diabetic rabbits. The second chapter presents and discusses the results obtained. The conclusion highlights the important findings, including the following: Administration of crude aqueous neem extract alone (1.5 ml/kg/day) and in combination with sucrose (1.5 ml/kg/day) and glibenclamide (0.25 mg/kg/day) led to a significant (P < 0.05) decrease in blood glucose, blood lipid concentrations, VLDL and LDL, while significantly (P < 0.05) increasing HDL concentration.
