Abstract

#This research aims to study the distribution coefficient of several metal cations, such as nickel, barium, aluminum, chromium, copper, etc., on the stannic silicomolybdate cation exchange resin in the hydrogen form in aqueous and organic-water systems with different dielectric constants, such as ethanol, ethylene glycol, and glycerol. The research followed an experimental methodology and was divided into an introduction, two chapters, and a conclusion. The first chapter clarified the effect of the percentage of organic solvent and the temperature on the distribution coefficient. The second chapter focused on determining the efficiency of this exchange resin and the reason for differences in the distribution coefficient values. The conclusion included the main findings, including the knowledge of the efficiency of the cation exchange resin and the determination of the optimum temperature to obtain the highest distribution coefficient values, which is 50 degrees Celsius.
