#Shoot systems of the yellow tops (Flaveria trinervia) were washed with tap water, dried in the shade to a constant weight was obtained, ground into a very fine powder. The assay has shown that the ethanolic extract exhibited activities against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, kliebsella pneumonia and failed to give activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa. From this treatment chloroformic fraction, aqueous layer and a solid precipitate were obtained, tested for antimicrobial activity, and fractionations, isolation, and structural determination of two flavonoids from Flavaria trinervea was known as Kaempferol (6-methoxy keampferol land keampferol 4). Previously, the phytochemical study of the extracts of Flaveria trinervia showed the presence of flvonoid, sterol, organic acids, glycoside and triterpenoid.
